FABULOUS EARLY ALADDIN MARKED ELECTRIC CAST IRON LAMP! Long before Aladdin alacite lamps, t were cast iron lamps...this is a fabulous, Aladdin cast lamp marked on the bottom of the base as No. 163. Bakelite red switch is still in place, as is the original label on the socket area. As you can see, the cord has considerable fray, and not feeling too adventurous, I did not plug it in to see if the socket is in working condition, however it would would appear to be. Cast iron base and frame holds a lovely pink floral glass shade...no chips, cracks or mars noted...a bit of wear at the fitter end, but nothing major. Some finish loss, storage dust and dander is all evident on the piece, but it is still a great one for your collection, and one that does not come along that often. Fabulous ornate work within the casting for the base...very nice! Measures in at 12 & 1/2" tall with the finial in place.
