Up for auction is this Antique Dresden Press in the Meissen Blue Onion Pattern. This item is in Good condition. T are no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs anyw in the item. The funnel opening has a couple of flea bites in it from use but nothing to take away from its appearance. The metal handle is starting to show a little surface rusting from over the years but should clean up nicely. I really do not know what to call this item. I do not know what its purpose is. If anyone knows what it is please e-mail me and let me know. I have tried to do some research on this item and cannot find anything out about it. This has to be a Rare item. I think it is either a fruit or tea press. T is a mechanical arm that ratchets down when you press the handle up and down. T is also a plunger that fits inside the item to press whatever you have in the cylinder. Then t is a funnel opening to get the liquid out of whatever you pressed on the front of the item. I do not know the exact age of the item either. I would guess sometime in the late 1800âe(tm)s to early 1900âe(tm)s. On the bottom of the item it is marked âe" âeoeLingner & Kraft, Dresden, D.R.
