A magnificent early Yuruk rug from western Anatolia with one of the best known Turkish nomadic design; it seems probable that the design of huge octagons containing an eight spooked medallion originated in the 'wheel' rugs and 'large pattern Holbein' rugs of the 15th century or even earlier. Certainly, examples with the design as seen are known from at least the 17th century. This absolutely antique rug has a gorgeous medallion design. T are four large medallions which are surrounded by large unusual border design. You can see clearly bold and old colors at the field and borders. I believe this is a rare early Anatolian Yuruk rug and would make a great addition for the collector of tribal rugs also is a great investment for whole life.
Interesting old purple, red, gold, green blue, yellow, indigo blue, sky blue light natural brown, dark brown and many other colors represent the colors of this antique rug. 0f course, that all colors are natural and 100% vegetal dyes.

This rug is in almost perfect original condition. It has almost full pill all over with both ends and selvages are originally complete with original killim at one end which is clearly shown on the images. It has two small repairs at top and left border of the rug which are hard to see from the front. This piece of art has wonderful size, the size of this nomadic rug is; 5'-10"x4'-3". The wool of this rug is absolutely soft, shiny and handles of this rug like a dream and the design and colors is impossible to describe. Rug is offered at minimum starting price of $999, so keep bidding on that with confidence. The value of this rug at any big rug galleries or any international auction houses is more than ten thousand dollars. This is a rare early Yuruk rug and would make a great addition for the collector of tribal rugs. I doubt that you will find others at this age, condition, and color combination at this price on ebay or any other places.
