This is such a wonderful, old, Chinese carved ivory pendant. It's a robed man, with an incised pattern in the robe. He's reclining on a pillow. The pillow has a hole running side-to-side thru which the pendant can be strung as part of a necklace. I bought him over 30 years ago from an antique dealer in San Francisco and never used him in a necklace as I just liked looking at him. It measures 2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. The carving is beautifully done, it's highly polished and ivory striations are visible in the piece. It appears to be signed on the back but I cannot tell what the asian symbols mean. This is a nice piece for a collection or to use in a necklace.
