Directly from a private collection. Early 1900s German bisque head doll by Recknagel Alexandrienthal, Thuringia, Germany. Marked R/17/0/A Approximately 7" tall Excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or damage I found a few paint flakes off the back of the head Bisque head with original wig and pate (metal hook) Brown set glass eyes Open mouth with teeth 5 piece composition body Painted on socks and shoes Dimple in chin Body is made of a sturdy cardboard and is marked with a 0 Original clothing as found Clothing is in excellent condition, with no spots, stains or damage A wonderful German child to add to your antique doll collection.
