You are bidding on a 19th century Paint Decorated Blanket Chest with pegged feet, original hardware and square hand wrought nails. I can not get the pictures to do this chest justice. In pictures # 3 I tried to get a close up of the Red Paint and the arches on the chest. The paint is original and shows no touch ups of any kind. In picture # 10 it shows the molding is attached with wooden pegs. The pegged feet appear to be hand turned on a lathe. The hinges have never been reset or broken. The lock works AND I HAVE THE KEY. This Blanket Chest measures 44" long, 20" wide, and 25" high. Picture #8 shows the till on the inside of the blanket chest. This Blanket Chest is a keeper and is only offered for sale because t is no room in the Inn. Good Luck !!! This chest is to be sold. INSURANCE: For your protection and mine, I am now requiring insurance on all items. T is no point in saving two dollars if your going to loose two hundred due to damaged or lost merchandise. This item is for local pick up only unless the buyer wants to pay to have it shipped. It would have to be crated. You can contact at their toll free number and if you give them the dimensions and weight of 65 lbs they will give you a shipping quote along with a job number. I will drop it off at their Leola plant free of charge. It is about 25 min. drive one way. That's the best I can do on a large item. REFUND POLICY: All items are sold as is. Ninety percent of what I sell is from estate sales and is not new. Email with questions before you bid, not after the auction ends.
