Antique Victorian Pedestal Brides Basket Fox & Old Man Head Offered is an antique silverplate brides basket measuring 14 1/2" tall and 9 1/4" wide. This basket is marked "2588, Reed & Barton" along with some other printing that I could not make out. The side of the bowl has an engraved name, it reads "Mr and Mrs Weller", it has a title before the Mr but I cant make it out, I believe it is FOR, REV or GOV or REP.This basket is in very good condition. It has a Fox with bird in paws on the top of the bail handle. The bowl has an engraved Art Nouveau design with fans and feathers or leaves. The base has 4 Old Man of the Mountains heads on each foot, all 4 sit on top of a ball. The stem has arrowhead or spear shaped leaf designs. This piece does show some plate loss to the metal base foot. It will need polished and cleaned. I do combine shipping costs for multiple items won.
