Reed & Barton "Silver Elk with glass Ink Well" You are bidding on a very nice Ink well. The Silver base is a Elk. The round base is 4-3/4 inches in dia. The Elk horns stand 6 inches tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the horns. The horn rack is 4-1/4 inches wide. The glass ink well has a silver hinged cover that is 2 inches in dia. and the glass container is 3 inches in dia. and the overall height from bottom of the glass to the top lid is 2-1/2 inches. The bottom is stamped: Reed & Barton Taunton, Mass. No.208 T IS NO RESERVE This ink well is in very good condition with normal wear for it's age. No dents or scratches. I have never cleaned it and the top cap appears to have some sticky substance from a lable....but I do not want to touch or clean it.
