This is a rare and remarkable decorative spoon, 6 ¼" long. The bowl is handmade, having a crimped or scalloped edge, repousse flowers and apples and deeply engraved leaves. The leaves are decorated with fine beadwork. The sterling collar also has relief work and engraving. The collar is pinched and the mother of pearl handle is slightly askew. It may have been reglued. T are no markings. The collar is definitely sterling and the spoon itself may well be. The beautiful mother of pearl handle is engraved on both sides in a leaf and grape pattern. This is an amazing spoon with incredible attention to detail. We are offering a number of mother of pearl handled utensils this week. Please refer to our other listings.
