Up for auction is this vintage art pottery umbrella stand I found in a Maine attic. This is white glazed and has a blue spongeware pattern around it with a brown and gold gilt spongeware pattern around the scalloped tom and bottom. The top and bottom of the stand has a raised shell and scrolling pattern around them. This is unmarked but I believe was made by The Roseville Pottery Company around 1900. A very similar chamber set can be found in the Rosveville Pottery In All Its Splendor Price Guide by Jack and Nancy Bomm. This is in great condition. T is a chip on the outside rim that has been colored in so it is hard to see. T is also a very tight hairline, about 5 inches long, on the inside and overall crazing but nothing major for a piece this old. The dark line on the base is discoloration, not a crack. The umbrella stand 22 1/2 inches tall and is 11 1/2 inches inches in diameter at the top. What a great old piece of art pottery for the collector. This has a low reserve. Please check out my other auctions for quality vintage art pottery, majolica, stoneware, prints and primitives. I combine shipping costs on most items. Please ask questions before bidding. Please do not bid unless you intend to purchase within 10 days of close of auction. Most of my items are used and some could use a good cleaning. I sell them as I find them, I do not clean the pieces. For additional pictures, please email me. I DO SHIP WORLDWIDE! INTERNATIONAL BUYERS, INCLUDING CANADA, MUST PAY THROUGH PAYPAL OR SEND INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDER!
