Here are two Royal Crown Derby porcelain two-handled covered cups with saucers made between 1891 and 1910 for Tiffany. They are in an Imari pattern. There is one good set and one not-so-good set: The good set is in exceptional condition. There are no chips, cracks, stains, or crazed areas on any of the three pieces (two-handled cup, cover, saucer). There has been no restoration and there is only a tiny amount of wear to the gilding on the saucer. The not-so good set has a very badly broken cup that was very poorly glued together (see the last two pictures). I'm not sure this cup will make it through shipping so don't be surprised if this one arrived in pieces. I will certainly pack it carefully and separate it from the other pieces of course. The accompanying saucer has a fine three-pronged spider hairline in the center which is unstained but visible if you look closely. The cover has a long fine hairline that appears to be stable. It is unstained and not visible from the top due to the decoration. This set could certainly be brought back to good condition (for display) with the right restorer. The decoration has just a little wear to the gilding on the saucer. Both cups measure 4-5/8" from handle to handle by 2-3/16" high (3-3/4" high with the cover in place). Top of cup rim is 3-1/2" in diameter. The saucers measure 5-3/4" in diameter. I have two matching 8-1/2" plates up for auction this week as well as other early Imari porcelain. Please check out my other auctions. I guarantee everything I sell to be as described or your money back. Please check out my feedback.
