Up for auction today is this wonderful Royal Maddock & Co. Water Pitcher. The base states the above as well as: Stone China, Burslem England and the word Trademark. This piece would have been hand painted. It would have been with a set including, at least a bowl, to wash one's hands in and a soap dish. This piece has no chips or cracks. Some of the gold has worn off and t is a rust spot or two and a prick or two that would have been done before the firing. The pitcher measures about 12 inches in height and about 8 inches from spout to handle. It weighs about 2 lbs so would be heavier for shipping.
