HELLO & WELCOME!!! Featured in this auction with no reserve is this magnificent, authentic RS Prussian pedestal bowl. Throughout our research on eBay, etc. we have not found another bowl featuring so many deep lobes (melon ribbing) and unusal mold characteristics, suggesting this might be one of the more uncommon pieces. RS Prussia is the very thin, high quality antique porcelain coveted by collectors world-wide. The grandeur of this bowl is hard to top, with its large size and six footed pedestal base. RS Prussia is widely recognized as one of the top antique Victorian porcelains. Production began around the 1870's by Reinhold Schlegelmilch. An active export business soon followed and RS Prussia captured the hearts of Americans! Back then, it was fine porcelain at a reasonable price. Items displaying the destinctive RS Prussia "red mark" surrounded by a green wreath and made at the turn of the last century are the most popular with collectors. These valuable pieces feature decor such as florals, landscapes, classical themes, portraits and animals and can sell for hundreds to thousands of dollars!
