we have a nice old WW1 or WW2 Russian Cavalry Shashka Sword with Scabbard. Sword is in great shape aside from the hilt which is repaired from a warping to the knuckle-guard. Blade and grip are in excellent shape. The hilt is all brass with ribbed wooden grip and is marked on pommel as shown in photos. Hilt has taken some damage at some point in time and was warped, which led to a brass weld repair to w the knuckle-guard meets the pommel. All is still tight to the blade with the handle only having a slight wiggle. Could be bent back to shape and repaired pretty easily but I just don't have the time.Blade is 32" long, a little under1 1/4" wide, and 1/4" thick at base of blade. Blade is marked on both sides as shown in photos (I can't read the language). Blade is in great condition and only shows a mild patina and a tiny bit of dark spotting that should clean right up if desired.Scabbard is fully in tact but has lost most of it's black paint and is dented in a couple spots which makes it a tight fit to the sword. Scabbard is marked with a heart and lettering as shown in photos. Scabbard welds are made in brass.Feel free to e-mail with any questions or with requests for more pictures ... I'd be more than happy to send more via email. I WILL BE LISTING MORE SWORDS OVER THE NEXT WEEK OR TWO! DISCLAIMERS ----------------------- I reserve read more
