BRAND NEW OLD VINTAGE STOCK 1940'S RING Iam a jeweler for over 21 years. I just found this bag of rings in theback of my safe. These were purchased about 10 years ago from a fellow jeweler who was retiring. He was an old timer who was in the business his whole life.The collection of rings I have (about 40) are all brand new. In fact, I took the old paper tags off of them to photograph them. They were still intact. The rings are all manufactured in the 1940's. This period marked a significant explosion in the way jewelry was manufactured. Machines started to duplicate what man was doing only with more precision. These rings are a true expression of this time period. Often the colored stones that were used were either glass or synthetic stones and 10k gold was used often because of it's strength and durability. 14k was used as well. Get these while you can because when they are gone t is no way of replacing them. What a great gift to buy for that special someone in your life. Keep it within your family and pass it down. They are brand new from a past era. Good Luck!This ring is a great old Russian ring. It centers one oval emerald of medium to light green. My best guess for it's weight would be .50ct. The pretty natural emerald is bordered by eight rose-cut diamonds which was very characteristic of both this time period and Russian
