This is a lovely piece of saltglaze stoneware! It displays beautifully with very bright and clear cobalt decoration. There is a signature, on the bottom but I was not able to determine the maker . See photos of mark on bottom. It came from my mothers estate and she was only able to tell me that she has had it for over 50 years. The decoration is similar to Ayers Bros Crocks that I have seen, and I am located near stamford, but that is only a guess. The crock is 9 inches tall by about 9 inches wide. The piece has a hairline crack around one of the handles, but I have been lifting it by the handles and have had no problems. Please see photos of area around handle. I will pack and ship the item with care. I will cover the cost of insurance. THIS PIECE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!! NO RESERVE. A lovely addition to any collection!!!!
