This is an antique Samuel Ford Burslem semi-porcelain footed tureen or covered vegetable dish. The piece has a rounded diamond shape and is approx. 7" by 10" and stands 6" tall to the top of the lid's finial. It has a beautiful blue transfer that is what I would call a "gray blue" color - lighter than the dark navy blue that is more common. My limited research indicates this mark was used prior to 1900. I can not give a definitive date for the piece. The tureen is in good condition - no cracks or chips. T is glaze crazing and some minor wear on the transfer at the edge of the lid. The interior, while not snow white, does not evidence a lot of staining or use discoloration. No reserve! No handling charge! Reasonable shipping rates! Please check our other eBay listings.
