Very Large 6' American Antique Pond Sailing Model This Exceptional model has an Abundance of Salty Sea Charm and Character. Built by the builder/owner, of the Auctual Schooner, as an authenticly detailed "Pond Sailing Model". The model's hull is Plank on Frame. The model is detailed and scaled to the original merchant fishing schooner that sailed the New England Coast, in the late 19th century. We understand this model was sailed, many times over the years between 1910 to 1940. It remains in Very Nice Condition, Strong, Solid and plesantly showing it's age with multiple layers of old paint. I believe the sails are original to the model. However, it is possibile that some sails and rigging have had minor restoration, as would be expected. The model appears to be ready to sail again. As a Decorator Piece, this Six Foot Model is Spectacular!!! Mounted on a Wall or Displayed in it's cradle; It is a Knock Out! The model has it's own rolling cradle. Due to size, I cannot ship this piece. I will hold it for your pick up, for a reasonable amount of time (30days) or it may be picked up on Orr's Island, Maine.
