's a real piece of Victorian souvenir ware. It's a scuttle style shaving mug that depicts the Weymouth Esplanade, Beach and Pier.
Most likely it was made in Germany. Tr is no mark just the number 54 in gold. It has a high lustre finish and is in wonderful condition. T are no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. If shaving mugs are your preference or if souvenir ware is what you like, this will please all. It stands 4 1/4" tall. The upper edge was once trimmed in gold but most of it has worn away. In those days going to Weymouth was a big excursion and people always looked for souvenir pieces. I have been informed that this is Weymouth England, not Massachusetts.
