This is a beautiful primitive scythe made some time in the 1800's. The blade is 30" long and is signed, "Acier Fondu, made in Austria". The blade does have a couple dents and a smal tear but its still a nice find. The handle is 69" long and a really nice piece of wood with a a really nice little wooden knob handle. I bought it at an old farm estate sale and it was together. I took it apart to transport it and now Im not sure how it goes back together. T is a nice little steel cuff that slides over the blade with a wooden wedge. It was on nice and tight when I bought it. This is a really nice primitive farm tool. Great for any collector. I have a great, old, 1800's, Hand Forged Broad Axe also listed from the same estate. Please see my other auctions for more great vintage items. I add new things all the time and I combine shipping on all purchases.
