Story: This "just right sized" Golden Oak Secretary Box was made in England in 1865, according to a reliable Antique store in Carmel California w it was purchased by me over 30 years ago.
It has two doors that open to an interior compartment full of pigeonholes and trays to hold papers, envelopes, pens, clips etc and can keep stationery & desktop items neat and organized while adorning a desk or other piece of furniture. When closed, the box is 14-1/2 inches wide, 12 inches high and 8 inches deep. When fully opened it is 30 inches across. Oh yes, it also has a pull out drawer for added storage. The wood is in excellent condition, no visible imperfections, it just has the patina of an antique from 1865. The cabinet has a working lock with key. The box was meant to be portable and as such is light to carry (weighs about 8 lbs). I know that you will enjoy using it. ** Return Policy ** We offer a 3 day satisfaction guarantee. We require the use of for an item that sells for over $500.
