Hello. here is a very nice set of eleven antique French solid silver teaspoons, dating from the time of Napoleon, c1800. They are fully marked with the Maker's mark, which is unknown to me, the French 1st standard mark for 0.950 silver, the medium excise mark for Paris, and another later control mark ( this is quite usual for French silver). These marks were in use from June 19th 1798 to August 31st 1809. They all measure about 131-133 mm in length, and have a combined weight of 129.1 grams ( 4.55 oz). They are all in very good condition, and appear to have had very little use in their 200 years or so, and it is probably quite rare to find a set like this now. They have no dents, splits, repairs or monograms, and the marks are very well struck. A lovely set Selling with a reasonable start and no reserve.
