Offered to You from Shop At Home Antiques: You are bidding on a ANTIQUE SET 6 DUNCAN PHYFE MAHOGANY DINING CHAIRS 1 Arm Chair, 5 Side Chairs Made in the 1930s - early 1940s Very good, Sturdy, Ready to Use Condition Features: Solid Mahogany and Flame Mahogany medallion decorative accent back stretchers. Duncan Phyfe style with reeded sides. Arm chair features Goose Neck arm supports. Each chair has the traditional H stretcher at the legs with an additional stetcher underneath the seat in the back, high up between the back two legs, that type of system is rare and gives great strong support. Each chair has a unique pattern, bookmatch, Flame Mahogany back stretcher decoration, and all are in very good to excellent condition. No missing pieces, cracks or repairs. All frames of the chairs are in sturdy, ready to use condition. The plank seats can be easily taken off to replace the fabric upholstery to match your decor. The fabric on the chairs currently are in new condition, it is red silk or silk like fabric. These chairs are unmarked, but very well made with very nice attention to details. The projected manufacturing age of late 1930s to 1940s can be made because of the fact that the arm chair is taller and wider, deeper than the 5 side chairs.
