Here is a recent estate find from a Historic New England Estate. This is a Rare Antique Working SETH THOMAS Adamantine Mantel Clock in Stunning Condition. It has a Beautiful Ornate Wood Case with Brass Lion Head Handles and Ornate Brass Claw Feet, in Excellent Condition. It has a very rare Color Adamantine Finish in Good Condition, Very Clean!!! It measures approx. 16 1/4" wide x 11" tall x 6 3/4" deep. It even has the original paper label on the bottom dated 1880. The dial is very clean! It is made of Paper over Tin with Ornate Brass Outer and Center Rings. It is signed "ST USA".The Signed Brass Mechanical movement is an 8 day Chime and strike movement, with Coil Spring Gong Chime ,which chimes the correct amount of times on the hour, and once on the half hour. The movement is signed "ST USA Seth Thomas Thomaston Conn" and "3 5/8 ST". Included is the Original Winding Key and Adjustable Pendulum. This clock runs strong and keeps excellent time, but will probably need to be lubed and adjusted again after shipping!
