ANTIQUE SETH THOMAS MANTLE CLOCK 298B SOUVENIR WONDERFUL PEACE CRUISE OF THE U.S. FLEET AROUND THE WORLD 1907-1908-1909 PROJECT TO BE REPAIR is this fabulous SETH THOMAS GOTHIC MANTLE CLOCK, beautiful antique, made in solid oak Victorian Period dated 1890's or 1900's. This clock was a Souvenir of The Wonderful Peace Cruise of the U.S. Fleet Around the World 1907 - 1908 - 1909. N 298B Eight Day Half Hour Strike, made in solid Oak with stunning carvings, beautiful pendulum with a lion and glass with a Navy scene. Marvelous timepiece. The clock has some missing parts like the key and hands. The time and chime mechanisms look complete and in working order, but they can't be tested; they need a cleaning and lubrication maintenance. When I took out the face for the pictures the clock start to run, how the face is not straight when is on place stop the mechanism. On the mechanism you can read ST / Made in US America / 89D Measures 23" high x 14 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" deep. 9lb !!!!! CHECK MY OTHER AUCTIONS !!!!!
