An antique "Adamantine" SETH THOMAS MANTEL CLOCK. This 8-day, time and strike clock is all original and comes with the key and pendulum. The wood case is a beautiful veneer.....with charactertics of cherry with fine black grain. It has the original key and pendulum. The clock measures 12-7/8 inches wide by 5-3/4 inches deep by 11-1/2 inches high. This is fresh from an estate that I recently "cleared-out" in Lakewood, Ohio. It was on one of the fireplaces within the home...and had been t for at least 80 years ( possibly longer), as I have pictures from the estate of the interior rooms and it is shown in those. It is in as-found condition, except for a wiping off of the many years of dust. Case is in great condition. It does have a small dent and "rub" to the veneer at the top ( please enlarge photos for viewing) and a small chip on the back-side corner. Also, shown is a pen-point white spot from paint splatter...literally pen-point size. I am sure it can be removed. I have not wound the clock... I am reluctant to do this in regards to possibly doing the clock damage..... ( especially since, at this time, I am one-handed due to an accident...and of course it's my right hand and I'm right handed!). When the pendulum is placed inside on the hook that holds it...it keeps a steady "swing" for at least 10 minutes.....if that is any indictation to the clock working. My guess is that it does work, but, may need a clock tuning and cleaning. Please check out the other mantel clock listed, from the same estate. Please check out my other auctions listed at this time.... I combine items to help fray the cost of shipping! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding! Please email me any questions you may have....
