Authentic antique Seth Thomas mantle clock with inlay of fruit and flowers. Runs very well. Brass bezel hinge is strong and works very well, bezel also closes tight. T are some paint dots on the top. T is a patch in the vernier on the top in the rear center as shown in pictures, also a chip in the veneer on the top front corner that is shown in the pictures. It is in a good place to stay out of site on a mantle. The veneer is a loose on a tiny part of the inlay could be glued or just left the way it is does not look bad. The rest of the veneer on the front and sides looks excellent for it's age. The case is mahogany and the inlay goes all the way around the bezel. Key and pendulum included key is an antique brass one that has a crack in each wing but it works fine and is a Seth Thomas key. The pendulum is a contemporary of the Seth Thomas with the guy sitting on the fence. This clock has the brass feet that look like gold rings. The chime works and sounds great, sounds the hour on the hour. This clock rings the bell seen in the pictures on the half hour. Movement is signed S T Made in US America. The movement is the 89c. The back cover fits nice and snug and is the original. The case is very sturdy. This antique clock was made around 1900.
