For your consideration is this beautiful working antique Seth Thomas clock circa 1800s. This is a double tablet clock where it features 2 different glass tablets. The upper door exhibits 1 larger tablet while the lower door exhibits a smaller tablet. The glass is very old an shows its age with the wavy characteristics of antique glass. It is a large clock measuring approximately 25" tall x 15" wide x 4 1/2" deep. This stunning timepiece feature 2 columns along the sides of the cabinet. It is on a hanging weight system where the weights hang down the sides of the interior of the case connected to the movement by strings. One weight controls the time and the other controls the gong feature. Included with this clock is the pendulum and 2 weights, sorry no key. This clock also retains much of its original Seth Thomas directions label on the interior. It runs excellent and ticks right along. It even appears to keep accurate time. It gongs the number of hours on the hour as well. It features a metal hand painted dial in a floral theme with roman numerals. The case looks remarkable. The Veneer does exhibit some very minor chips, and dings but nothing too noticeable for a clock over 100 years old, but mentioned for accuracy. The only other defect to note is that the dial does not line up over the key holes and will need adjusted but I will read more
