You are bidding on a very nice Seth Thomas mid sized tambour mahogany clock manufactured by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. around 1915-1925. This is a wonderful example of the classic Tambour mantle clocks popular in the 1920's. This clock is in excellent original condition with the original pendulum weight and replacement key. If you are looking for a cheap antique clock that someone purchased at an estate sale, squirted some oil on it and got it to run for the time being, THIS CLOCK IS NOT FOR YOU!!!!! This clock has been restored as closely as possible to it's original condition and will be a reliable and unique timepiece for many years to come. The case: The case is mahogany veneer with a rich, dark finish. The case on this clock has been cleaned and polished and returned as closely to the original look as possible. Other than a few very minor scratches the finish is completely original and shines almost as if it were wet. A beautiful finish for being around 90 years old! The bezel has been polished back to it's original sheen and has been coated to prevent tarnish. The face of the clock is original and is in excellent condition with no major scratches as you often see on the painted dials from this era. The clock is 9.5" high, 17" wide and 5.5" deep.
