Please note that this is a rare rosary with its medals in silver and their original gold-platting. If you win this beautiful treasure, PLEASE DO NOT CLEAN THE MEDAL WITH ANY KIND OF POLISH, YOU WILL REMOVE THE GOLD! If you must, please clean with only mild hand soap. This rosary was sent in for auction by one of the convents we work with in South America . It dates from about 1850, and it is the best preserve rosary we have ever seen from this period. You are bidding on 8 antique medals on this rosary; they alone would sell for $30.00 each, if the rosary was broken up; but please don't do that if you win it. It has a hanging length of 17 inches and the larger medal has a size of one inch, the other 7 medals are slightly smaller. Each medal depicts an event in the life of Jesus that was like a dagger in Mary's heart; tfore the name and the images on the medals. Good luck bidding! Sellers: Delight buyers.
