Superb French Napoleon III era opera glasses. Sevres quality with rare turquoise enameling over vopper with gilt ormolu mounts. Mother of pearl carved eye mounts are marked 24 Palais Royal and Derepas. Ormolu bridge across the mounts is marked 12 and I believe Sevres. Glasses are approx. 3 3/4 inches long by 2 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide. Fabulous turquoise background with center floral sprays and floral garlands. Gold enamel trim and gold crosses ccertainly "pop" out on the magnificent turquoise backgrounds. A true and marked souvenir of the Palais Royal. In lovely condition with no chips or cracks and very strong color to the enamel. Eye pieces are also in very good condition. I have another pair up for auction from the same estate so please take a look at both. Payment is due within 7 days.
