I am listing antique plates tonight and I have some lovely ones for those of us that love to circle a favorite picture with pretty plates in the English cottage tradition. The pale blue scalloped edge of this plate is rimmed with gold. T is some minimal wear to the gold and a flat chip to the underside of the plate as if someone put a too-tight plate hanger on it. It's had a long life and was probably painted by one of the women's painting clubs that were popular at the time. Various shades of pink and yellow roses and heavy gold scrolls decorate the plate. This mark was used on the Vienna China line from Count Thun's factory in Klásterec, Austria, between 1890 and 1908. Many collectors identify this mark exclusively with PH Leonard.
