You are bidding on an Antique Federal Sheraton Flame Mahogany Inlaid Tall Dresser Chest of Drawers. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and dates back to the Early 19th Century of the FIRST Period and is Circa 1820 American made. It is a nice LARGE chest with great measurements and sits on nicely tapered and curved legs which are beautifully splayed and has 4 large drawers which are all doweled and dovetailed together with solid brass pull handles that have an embrodiery pattern etched into the brass itself. The top drawer has a beautiful Brazilian Rosewood banded inlay going throughout the edges and they all have brass milled mortise locks so they can be indivdually locked (no key). Throughout the edges it has beautiful corss banded inlays as shown in the photos below. This is made with Cuban Mahogany which is the most sought after, expensive and almost extinct of all the mahogany woods of the world. It has a beautiful and exotic crotch flame swirl mahogany wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING made today and is all wood construction but Please understand that this a antique that is ALL ORIGINAL so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age but overall its in excellent shape. This piece measures approx 47 inches wide, 45 inches high and approx 20 3/4 inches deep.
