Very nice early primitive stoneware crock, signed L. W. Minier. The jug was made by L William Minier in Steubenville, Ohio, in Jefferson County, between the years of 1869-1883. It is age weatd and has some expected wear, scratches, minor nicks, one old small chip on one side and some very old chipping to the edge if the opening. It has a couple of extra pieces of stoneware on the bottom from when it was manufactured. Overall this is a great old piece and is very nicely aged, nice old patina. The jug measures 13 1/2" tall.
