Up for the auction is an incredible authentic British Thomas Webb cameo art glass vase from the beginning of Art Nouveau (ca. 1890) (pics. 1-6). It has a classic baluster form and is made of overlaid glass with an ivory background and wheel carved floral design in lighter color with the hand added enameled brown highlights (pics. 7-9). On the back of the vase there is a traditional for Webb cameo butterfly (pic. 10). Nicely polished pontil (pic. 11). Marked on the bottom with the half moon signature as shown on pic. 11. A similar ivory cameo vase of the same shape with a different design is pictured on p. 35 of "English Cameo Glass" by R. & L. Grover, 1980. In an excellent condition for the age without any damage. 6 1/2" tall. Part of my Webb cameo collection for sale (pic. 12). I do try to research and correctly describe items to the best of my ability, and I will mention any damage that I find on any item I sell that happened after it has left it's manufacturer. I am an active collector of antiques. I am not an antique dealer nor do I claim to be an expert. Payment is expected within 7 days after the end of the auction, otherwise will open a dispute as an unpaid item. In case of significant discrepancy please notify me within 3 days after you receive the item for a full refund. I will refund your money if the item is shipped back within 7 days after you received it. The buyer pays return shipping costs including insurance if you had received it by the insured mail.
