AntiqueSilver Cake Slice, Tartlet Server, Cherubs, Roses, 48 g, c 1900 Beautiful and ornate solid silver cake slice or tartlet server, most likely dating from 1900 to 1920. Quite a large size with gracefully scalloped edges. It has a lovely pierced design, featuring three cherubs – two holding a rose swag, the third playing the triangle, all surrounded by elegant, flowing scrolls. The handle is patterned with folded acanthus leaves and another two cherubs, sat back to back and playing trumpets, form the finial. Very well-crafted and detailed work - this would grace any dining table or cabinet, be a wonderful gift and certainly a very fine addition to a collection! Size: 21.2 x 5.4 cm Hallmarked: 800 Weight: 48.1 g Condition: this is in very good condition with only the slightest signs of use, commensurate with age. No damage, dents or dings. It has been gently polished with a soft cloth and retains its beautiful, warm patina. I send my items immediately as payment is received and am happy to combine postage wherever possible! Kindly note that I can only accept PayPal from UK and overseas/non-european bidders – thank you for your consideration!
