This is a VERY RARE and unique coin silver piece from Momâe(tm)s collection (she had only kept 12 of these for her self and each one is different). It was made by a silversmith for a client to leave at a side alter dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi more than 100 years ago . This Ex Voto was handcrafted in a small rural town in South America as a Catholic Church offering; after it was believed, Saint Francis helped a goat herder with his goat (how we will never now). These were made from melted down Spanish pieces of eight coins and have a silver content of 85% pure silver, or better. It is 2.5 inches long by 2 inches tall and it weighs 16.6 grams. It was entirely hand hammered by the silversmith into its shape and design; it was NOT cast or pressed on to a mold, like todayâe(tm)s Milagros. Good luck bidding! Sellers: Delight buyers.
