Most examples from the estate were from the early to mid 1800's.This set of knifes is one of the best I have seen.. Not only is the quality first rate but they are so clearly marked as to document their origin /provenance.Each of the 12 knifes is marked as follows: On one side of the blade appears "SHREVE CRUMP & LOW CO. BOSTON".On the other side of the blade is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND".Each knife measures 6 1/2" in overall length. Each gorgeous handle is 2 3/16" in length. They feel smoother than silk, if that is possible..These exceptional items can be yours. They would be a great addition to your historical collection. Imagine, this is not just one odd knife.
