ANTIQUEHAND PAINTEDMETAL OVERLAYFAIENCE - MAIOLICA FOOTED VASESPANISH MAIOLICA ? MIDDLE EAST FAIENCE ?19th CENTURYI SHIP WORLDWIDE Being offered in this sale is a very unusual hand painted earthenware pottery vase decorated with bands of beaded metal and diamond shape medallions around the neck. I don't know if this is early Spanish maiolica, Moroccan majolica or perhaps middle eastern faience from Turkey or Persia. The design within the medallions lead me to be its Persian. My guess is that it dates to the 19th century. It measures 8 1/2" tall and is roughly 5" in diameter at its widest. The condition is excellent. T are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairline or evidence of grinding. Please feel free to email me with any questions. I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described.
