The bottom is hallmarked with a small round medallion that reads Simpson Hall Miller & Co. Triple Plate. The bottom base has two small handles with a leaf design on the bottom of each and two small bars for holding the butter knife, both are which have the ends broke off. The condition of the butter tray is very worn with many cut scratches from use . The other outside o this piece still retains all if not most of the silver plating and shines up very nicely.
