Up for auction is this Antique Simpson Hall Miller & Co. Silver Plate Cow Butter Covered Dish Server . This is a very nice Antique circa 1890 silver plated large covered table butter dish server. This butter dish is made up of three pieces, the bottom base for holding ice, the original center liner tray and the dome cover that has a great figural cow on the top standing on grass. The bottom is hallmarked with a small round medallion that reads Simpson Hall Miller & Co. Triple Plate. The bottom base has two small handles with a leaf design on the bottom of each and two small bars for holding the butter knife, both are which have the ends broke off.

The condition of the butter tray is very worn with many cut scratches from use . The other outside o this piece still retains all if not most of the silver plating and shines up very nicely. The top dome has some add'l ivy leaf engraving and a small monogram. Measures 5 1/2 inch tall , 7 inches wide with the cow measuring 2 inches long.
