Hello, welcome to my listing. Up for your consideration is a Sterling Silver Singing Bird Box. I am going to be honest when I say I don't know much about these boxes. I took this box to Rich's Pawn and Jewelry shop in my area and was told it is a collectors item worth about $6,000 dollars. Why am I selling it at such a low price?? This box was left to me by my mother who abandoned me at birth. I feel she left this to me to make up or bribe me on some kind of way. I didn't want it and was going to actually throw it away but I figured I can make some good of what she never did for my sister & I. I am selling this box and donating all the proceeds to The Gentle Barn: /aboutus.php . I'm sorry to get personal but I wanted to be completely honest and appologize in advance if I couldn't answer many questions about this box. I will mention everything I know about the singing bird box in the listing. Sterling Silver Bird Box is from the early 1900's and measures 2" X 4" X 2.5". The silver casing box has scenes on all sides and comes in a blue case that sort of looks like a jewelry box. It shows signs of wear, has minor scratches and scuffs. When you open it is has a black bird with some blue, red, green and orange. Bird sings beautifully. Please give me up to 5 days to package this item properly and get it oout to the post office.
