Satin finished gilded on inside but slightly worn where it touches the opening mechanism . Small amount of rust showing from steel parts of opening mechanism. Slightly dents on underside. It doesn't carry a mark for where it was hallmarked but as far as I can tell the details of the date, location and maker are correct.I meant to put this box in with the other items (mostly silver boxes) I am selling but it temporarily my clutches!Reason for selling: I am a contemporary designer silversmith, a client wants me to sell some of his old silver items and make him something new.
