Stunning antique silverplate samovar featuring 4 swans with ball/claw feet for legs. T is no maker's mark on the bottom of this. The lid is marked Simpson Hall Miller, but it appears that the lid and the samovar are a marriage due to the figure on the lid is a dragon or gryphon of some sort, which does not seem to be in line with the swan figures of the samovar. The lid does fit perfectly however, and creates quite an interesting combination. T are no dents whatsoever on the samovar, and the lid shows only a tiny ding that you can see in photo #8. T does not appear to be any plate loss with the exception of the bottom as you can see in photo #9. I have made no attempt to clean this other than a light dusting as I know that preferences on patina differ so greatly from collector to collector. This measures 16" tall and 10" wide handle to handle. The piece weighs 5 pounds & 6.6 oz. This is truly a gorgeous piece and would make a fine addition to any collection. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for specific photos (please include your e-mail address). Shipping is by Priority Mail and my items ship the Monday following payment. Only actual shipping costs are charged. Good Luck!
