This auction is for a very rare 1847 Rogers Bros. silverplate serving tray made by the Meriden Britannia Co., c. 1886. The pattern is Assyrian Head. The huge handled tray measures approx. 22 1/2" x 17". The back is marked Meriden B. Company, Quadruple plate with numbers 156 and 22. It is in very good condition. The center has a satin finish, which was very popular, deliberately producing a fine "pockmarked" surface. This is really a magnificent piece and looks a hundred times better in person, than the pictures show. I accept Paypal, money order or personal check. Payment required within 10 days.
