This is an antique Simplex copper Tea Kettle, made in England. The coiled base is patented, and is for use on Gas stoves. I know it is very old, and believe it has a Bakelite handle. The tin lining is in good condition, and the body is in good condition with a few tiny dents. In the last photo, I tried hard to take a photo so you can see the dents, and each tiny dent measures about 1 cm at its widest dimension. Because they are clustered on one side of the kettle, if you keep the kettle in the orientation as shown in the first photo, it should look good for display, or for use on the stove. This one does not have a whistle. It weighs a lot, 3 lbs on my scale, so the boxed weight will come in at 4 lbs. Please ask if you have any questions, and it is no trouble to take extra photos for you if you wish to see anything more closely. Local pick up OK, Portland Oregon.
