is a Singer Manufacturing Co. antique oak puzzle box with most attachments intact. It even includes the instruction manual and a bonus: The Hickson Sewing Machine Attachment that includes its instruction manual. I've also included some really old packages of the tiniest sewing needles I've ever seen. They are secured in black cloth and wrapped in paper. The outside of the box is in excellent condition with a little wear and a scratch on the top, all minor. It is solid and works the way it is supposed to -- nothing broken. It has dovetailed corners and lays completely flat when open. The inside is also in outstanding condition; the purple velvet is still soft with no tears or scuffs of any kind. I included a photo of the inside attachment layout from the manual this can be compared to what is included in this listing. Comments on missing or different items, per section, from left to right: First Section: missing Number 87 (screw driver shuttle tension) missing Number 88 (stiletto) Second Section: missing Number 82 (Hemmer 7/8-in) Third Section: missing the screw on Number 91, otherwise complete Fourth Section: missing one bobbin, and I don't believe the four bobbins included are all original. One of the four fits perfectly in the slots; the three that don't fit are slightly longer. ?? Ruffler Shirring plate - not sure if the part that was with this box is the same as what is in the photo. I can't find a way to turn it to make it look exactly the same, and t is no separate photo of it in the manual. I've left it off the box to show it separately. The manual has a lot of damage in the bottom right-hand corner, but all words inside are readable - no missing parts of pages in the instructions. The table of contents has the bottom ¼ of the page missing, though (inside front cover). · Outside box dimensions, when closed: 6-1/2" x 3-3/8" x 3-3/8" · Identifying marks: Patented February 19 1889 engraved in oval on outside of box · Age: Late 1800s · Condition: Excellent, with missing attachments described above Thank you for looking!
