ANTIQUE SITZENDORF GERMANY MONKEY BAND BAGPIPER FIGURE Fresh From a Fabulous South Florida Estate! No Reserve, Ever! Antique 20th C Sitzendorf Germany Hand Painted Monkey Band Bagpiper Figurine. Whimsical representation of this primate made famous by the reputable Meissen factory, almost 200 years ago. Elegantly clad in fancy breeches, ruffled shirt and sleeves, long jacket and powdered wig, feather in hat. Gold trim lining on the jacket . Painting, glaze, and colors superbly executed. Comical look combined with a priceless expression only add further charm to this talented and aspiring young musician. Nice gilded scrolls on the base. Appropriately stamped on the underside.
