This is an absolutely beautiful antique metal lamp with a slag glass shade. The lamp measures 15 1/2" high to the top of the finial. The six paneled shade is approx. 8" across. The glass looks pink when the lamp is unlit, but lit it is a rosy red. The base is white metal with gold colored paint as is the shade. A butterfly motif decorates the metalwork on each panel. Beautiful period look, slightly Art Deco is you look at the base but also has an Art Nouveau look. Two of the panels are missing the bottom clip that holds the glass in place. On one panel the previous owner made a repair using a straight pin. Pretty clever but I don't think it will hold the glass in place. All of the glass pieces are in excellent condition. There is some overall paint loss. One of the panels has a very small piece of metal missing in the latticework. It actually appears to have been made that way. (Note the close-up of the shade with the black background. ) The socket and cord look good and the lamp is in working condition. In the pictures I am using a 15 watt bulb. High bidder pays $14.95 for shipping in the U.S. International bidders please email for special rates. It is about 6 lbs. Please feel free to email me with any questions.
