Antique Sleigh Portland Cutter from the early-1900's. I brought it to Texas from Western Michigan about 10 years ago, w I paid $550 for it. The sliegh has been used primarily as an outdoor Christmas decoration, w it receives a lot of attention from neighbors and folks comming by who want to take photos of the sleigh with their kids aboard. Otherwise, it has been stored in the garage. We recently moved, and I no longer have room to store it. The sleigh is the more elegant model with leaf springs that add greater detail to the antique. The body of the sleigh has been fiberglassed over, but the original wood is beneath. I don't know the condition of the wood, as it has been that way since I have owned it. The runners are still the original wood and not fiberglassed over. Similarly, the seat has been recover with red vinyl, but the original coil springs are below. The fiberglass makes the sleigh more durable to weather conditions, and keeps it pretty solid. Comes with one-horse shaft(s). A few minor repairs to the wood runners/shaft. One of the lower sleigh runner supports is cracked but functioning, and shouldn't be too dificult to replace if desired. A nice decorative piece for Christmas. A lot of original metal trim. Buyer must provide your own shipping arrangements. I will transport to a shipping location in the Houston area. The sleigh will fit in the bed of a pickup truck. I received an estimate for shipping to Tennessee from Houston on for $400. Most other sleighs sell for the same price as this one with shipping. Thanks for looking.
