This small lock was probably made in England. The lock is made of brass and iron and is quite old.It is very similar to the VR locks from the mid to late 1800's. It seems to have been hand made evidenced by the file marks on the brass. The lock works well with a definitive snap of the bolt when opened. The nice patina and sheen of the brass are difficult to capture in the photos.It must be seen to be appreciated.
